Stefano e Anna in the vineyard

History

Handwritten across the vineyards

OURS IS THE STORY OF SOUND, HARDWORKING ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND, AT THE SAME TIME, THE STORY OF A FAMILY

We wrote it ourselves, vintage after vintage, in the name of respect for nature, with our roots firmly planted in the soil and our gaze focused on the future. We worked hard to build our estates, today havens of biodiversity and culture, and continue striving to be trustworthy custodians and interpreters of the spirit of the places where we produce.

OUR FAMILY

THE STORY OF FAMIGLIA CASADEI BEGAN IN THE EARLY 1990S, WHEN ANNA AND STEFANO GOT MARRIED. TOGETHER, THEY STARTED A FAMILY, AN OENOLOGICAL PROJECT, AND A THRIVING BUSINESS.

The groundwork for the future Biointegrale Decalogue was laid at Castello del Trebbio, among the vines of traditional Chianti Rufina grape varieties. Longing for different terroirs to explore and enhance, Anna and Stefano broadened their horizons: Famiglia Casadei traveled to Alta Maremma, a privileged terrain for international varieties, to Sardinia, to grow native varieties, and finally to Casentino, where the higher altitude offers the opportunity to experiment with different vines. Time went by, the Famiglia Casadei group branched out, and the “real” Casadei family grew up: today Anna and Stefano’s children - Lorenzo, Laura, and Elena - all work in the family business.
